would it be possible to add the extra 64mb ram and still be able to play xbox games if i patched it with the ramdelimit file found on xbins and burned it on a dvd+rw or cd-rw? I dont want more ram for xbox games but for other reasons such as MAME and experimental linux counter-strike game, thats my favorite game on the pc and if i could get it on my xbox that would be sweet. rolleyes.gif

Im not sure whyd youd want to do that.. no game has been programmed to use that extra ram so nothing would be any better.. good solder practice i guess

exactly, you'd have to do a good amount of programming, you realise that right.

Yes, if you patch your files with the ram delimit found on xbins, you will be as good as gold. If you actually try this, good luck with the soldering. 4 chips, a billion points, one mistake and you are fucked....no pressure though..hehe ph34r.gif

im not using a soldering iron, only a dumb f*** would do that, i have a heat gun, i just place the chip there and heat it up and let it cool, im thinking about adding a switch on it so i can turn off the power to those chips then i wont have 2 worry about retail games and backus, this might be hard to do but it will be fun laugh.gif

i had another qquestion, if i did put a switch on it to switch between 128mb and 64mb, would i be able to use 64mb of ram on the files i patched with the ram delimit? basically what im asking it, does the ramdelimit take off the check for ram or does is set it to 128mb?
