Hi I jtagged my falcon 60gb premium box. Didn't get to flash the lite-on yet...but now the lite-on vibrates like a mofo when the 360 is vertical. It's fine horizontal.

I wanted to replace with a BenQ and flash with ixtreme (might as well kill two birds with one stone).

Since I have the DVD key from xell can I just apply the DVD key to the ixtreme LT firmware and spoof as lite-on or do I need to get a kit and dump my lite-on first to get other things?

Thanks!

Make sure that the key from xell is correct if it is then just flash it to the Ben Q

saves me the hassle from buying ck3 etc just to grab the orig lite-on firmware biggrin.gif

Yes I would suggest using maximus firmware toolbox to inject key and install serial number.

so i do need the serial or i don't need the serial?

i'm just asking if i only need the dvd key..because i don't want to go through the hassle of dumping the lite-on if it's already borked.

all you need is the key flashed to the new drive. to be honest, it really doesn't matter what you do w/ the drive, most people who have jtags never use their drive once they configured the jtag right. you can ftp to your 360 hdd and play/run every thing from the hdd or a flash drive.

actually I do use the drives in both of my tagged boxes my xenon and falcon and yet both are BEN Q's probably cuz I only have 20Gb HDDs on them and I think it's kind of a preferance.
