I am selling a PS3 Test unit. The serial number plate on the bottom calls it a Debugging Station. I bought this at a garage sale and the young man told me he could not get it to work. However he did not know it was a PS 3 Test Debugging Station. He thought it was just a regular console.
I can't get it to turn on all the way. The red light comes on and it beeps when you try to turn it on but it only flashes green and yellow for a second, then goes back to red.
Do you need to have PS3 controllers plugged in to turn this on?
I am not very familiar with video games and I don't have PS 3 controllers.
It seems to be missing a trim panel on one end (see photos).
Otherwise nice and clean. Looks like it has been taken care of carefully.
If people write in that I need to get controllers to test this I will go buy one or two. I have the power and A/V cords.
The sticker on the bottom reads:
Debugging Station (for PLAYSTATION3)
(etc) October 2007

Ther serial number is:
Write to me at: markandster@msn.com
$750 - postage and insurance included. Thanks!! - Mark
PS- I want to add photos but this form asks for a URL
Does anyone know how I post photos on the Web so I can link them to this site? Thanks!!

There are sites that you can upload your pics to for hosting and then post the url link here.

As for that unit not powering on that is most likely a hardware failure of the unit and has nothing to do with a controller being plugged in or not.
