Info on the Xbox 360 2010 Banwave.

As some of you may or may not know, there will be a dashboard update for the Xbox 360 to add Kinect capabilities. If you are legit and actually buying games like you are supposed to, then good for you! This dashboard update will not affect you in any way. However, if you are a pirate, and you have an Xbox with a flashed DVD drive to play burnedgames, you’re outta luck. Microsoft has coded a live banning system into the new dashboard to moniter what firmware your DVD drive has. If it doesn’t match what they have on file, then congrats. You are now the owner of a banned Xbox 360. This affects the “undetectable” iXtreme LT firmware as well. If you have a flashed Xbox, do not update on November 4th

Anyone else elaborate on this? Is it getting close to Halloween so all the tricks and scares are starting to come out?

sign there is a file in the xbox 360 slims, believed to be a firmware of your xbox dvd rom, which goes and checks the dvd rom and compair it to the file on the flash, and if the check isnt 100% match, flag for ban.

some believe its on late gen pre -slims systems as well.

how many new threads are going to be posted in the paranoia of a banwave?
those of you with flashed DVD drives; Did you not know the risks you were taking

what a freakin joke. OP, youve been here for 8 years, and this is what you have to contribute to the scene? you should take your 1.8 posts a year, roll them up in a little ball, turn them sideways, and shove them up your candy yams!
no, but seriously though, you are a complete waste of organic material. Go back to M$ and take your propoganda with you.
