Hello all,

I was wondering if it's possible to unlock the stock XBox HD using your PC (instead of having to do it in the XBox with ConfigMagic)? I've taken the HD out already and I'd like to use it in my PC but I don't want to have to put it back in my XBox to be unlocked. Thanks for your help.

You CAN unlock the original 8 or 10 Gig in your PC.

1 Run Configmagic in the Xbox with your replaced HD still in it. Get the HD KEY (not password), write it down.

2 With the original 8 or 10 Gig in your PC, then use Liveinfo.exe beta2 and enter the HD KEY to generate the HD PASSWORD.

3 Manually unlock the hdd in your PC with hdunlock.exe.
