Hey folks,

Got some pretty heavy handed 5 year olds that have broken 2 Mini USB plugs on 2 of my controllers. I was wondering if anyone knows of a part number and supplier of the part ? The model numbers of the controllers are CECHZC2A. I bought them in Australia so an Aussie supplier would be great. Are they a fairly generic part ?

No idea about an AU supplier, but it's a pretty common miniUSB connector, Thru-hole, Type B, Female. There are a lot of variations of it though, so you'll be getting out the calipers or at the very least going thru a few datasheets until you find a suitable replacement.

You could check on eBay, game stores, even yard sales and the like for broken controllers to salvage the parts from, provided they're not torn up as well. All versions use the same type of miniUSB connector, so it doesn't have to be the same model number of controller, which is meaningless anyway as that number stays the same while the board revisions change constantly, but they still use the same type of connector.

I'd be more worried about any damage done to the board, as that will be more difficult to repair than just replacing the connector.
