I've been scouring the internet for the answer to this very simple question.

I want to INSTALL homebrew games and apps using xexmenu v1.1. I can find the .xex in the file system of hdd or usb stick, but I want it to either

A) Appear as bootable from the xbox 360 dashboard

or

cool.gif Appear in the Game/Emulator/Application lists in xexmenu

I've done every search I can think of, and all I get is "How kin I playz teh on teh hard drive withoot teh spinny dr1ve wit teh disc in itz????!!!!111"

I don't CARE about that. I have an xbox with LT+ if I want bootleg games (Oh I'm sorry. I meant, "legitimate backups which I only use for the purpose of protecting my precious discs from damage while transporting them 20 feet to the next room". Of course. That's what EVERYONE else seems to be doing)

I tried changing the setting to scan for any .xex and not just default.xex and then rescanning. Didn't help.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Posting in the right section would help,
http://forums.xbox-s...p?showforum=162

and then looking in 'README.txt' that comes with xexmenu, I see this...

QUOTE

* Shows the content of any GAMES folder on any device
- Use GAMES, APPLICATIONS, EMULATORS for auto discovery menu on each device
* Switch between games/apps/emus in the discovery menu using RB/LB

Yea totally messed up the posting in the right thread part.

Can a mod move this?

And that part of the readme doesn't really help.

It's not discovering games, either. I just copied a DVD and if I use the default.xex it loads, but it won't appear in the game list. Snes360 should appear in the Emulator list, but also does not.

that would be part of the whole ID10T error syndrone..

step one

boot xexmenu

step 2 navigate to hdd1 or usb0 whatever the hell you wanna use..

step 3

in said HDD or usb create a folder called " GAMES "

inside this folder make a folder for every game u wanna rip

IE hdd1/games/deadspace2/

copy the game into its new folder..

DONE game will now appear in games discovery
