I bought an xbox (modded) in the US and am going to India for a few months. I was wondering, if I got the correct power adapter, would the xbox work there. I do not know much about PAL and NTSC. Thanks

I am not 100% on this but I dont think it would work there mainly because you have a NTSC unit and in India they use PAL. The unit can also handle the power change, but you would need an adapter to plug it in to the wall outlets. I would check with whomever you are staying with to see if this is correct.

Most TV's can do both PAL and NTSC anyway.

Where did you read/ see this? Most tvs do one or the other, not both.

I live in New Zealand (PAL) and all my TV's for years have done NTSC and PAL in full color without SCART or anything like that. I have used composite, svideo and component without trouble. At a guess I would say since the 90's it's been like that for most TV's sold in NZ anyway. My last 2 or 3 TV's have switched automatically for NTSC signals etc. My PS2, XBOX, VCR, DVD player all work fine with NTSC media. I believe there is a color mod for PS2 to fix the black and white picture someone mentioned but I have never needed it myself. I guess it will all depend on the model of TV you get stuck with.
