ok i have question i have xbox 360 slim with 9504 drive with the dashboard update before the 13599 lock . I was on wondering seen the laser dead if could buy replacement drive an update on dead laser drive an then put the replacement drive in as my hacekd drive . i already got my dvd key

Yes that should work fine. The update will lock down you bad drive and not your replacement drive.

ok so everytime i have new dashboard update ill just have to put in stock drive to update then put back in the hacked firmware drive corrected
