Most likely not but the longer you wait the better your chances are of getting the new mb.

I see . That sucks, so we have to be very careful before we actually buy a new one.

Not a bad idea. I was hoping to get the $50 GC deal at Target and get a 4gb system brand new. Not sure they will have any of the older motherboards though. A refurb from Gamestop would actually cost me $180. Rather have the new if I could find one....Is there any way to know from the outside of the box? Or are there any bundles that for sure come with the older motherboard?

Before I open up the actual 360, and void the warranty, and thereby ruin any chances of returning it for a refund....

I just bought a slim... the back of the slim itself says 10.83a, and the power brick says 10.83a. Is it safe to say it is a Trinity board, and NOT a Corona?

from everything I read you should be good. I am sure someone can confirm that for sure though.

Where did you get that one? What model system is it?

Check the MFD, anything before aug/july 11 is good, I believe.

It's a 4gb slim purchased from Amazon.

The date is 09-08-2011, which is why I am confused. I know the Trinity power bricks are 10.83A, and supposedly the Corona are 9.xxA.
