I have searched online and am still not sure, so thought it better to ask. Apologies if this has already been answered.

I have a Maxtor Maxline 2, Chimp says it is not lockable and other users have also reported this on the Xbox Hard Drive Compatibility list. My Xbox is softmodded so it needs a locked drive.

1) Is there any way of locking this drive?

2) If not, what method do I need to use to format the drive so that it can be used in a PC?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

1. Not if it isn't locakble.
2. Format it using your PC operating system, as you would for a new disk......

If you have a Xbox that can be flashed you could still use it after flashing without locking.
