I'm wondering if anyone has good methods for painting the face of the dvd drive tray while maintaining the silver xbox logo unpainted. First time I tried using tape, but it was hard to cut perfectly and when removed it didn't look very clean. I've also tried using nail polish remover on q-tips in between paint jobs to try and rub it off, but that didn't work great either (paint is krylon fusion).

Just wondering if there are any easy methods out there that other people used.

You paint the bezel normally. Then when the paint dries, repaint the letters. It is quite easy, since they are raised.

You can also paint the bezel whatever color you want and then repaint the letters using a silver paint pen. I've found this is best since you can detail it.
