Hi all. I recently got a new HDD for my Xbox. Its working fine but an issue I use to have with the old HDD is Error 07 (HDD timeout). I thought that this was a problem with the old HDD but I got this error once with my new HDD. I replaced the data cable a few months ago so there shouldn't be any issues with that so now the only thing that could be problem is the power cable to the xbox. Whenever it would produce the error, all I had to do was open up the xbox, press a little firmly on the power connector and it would work fine then. Like I said, it can work for a while but then it may happen again so I'd like to just replace the power cable. I'm not sure if it looks like a conventional PC power cable so thats why I wanted to ask, can the power cable be bought from shops somewhere? Thanks.

Go to a local pc store and ask if he can't give you a defective pc power supply.
They normally have the same connectors to supply the older pc ide devices.

Another option is buying a power splitter cable and using one of it's ends.
(Those are sold for pc supplies that have a shortage of such connectors.)

More and more, pc's start to use sata devices, so that type of connector will probably dissapear in the near future.
