my friend has spare psu but it is AT psu or has 12 pins on the end where mine is an ATX one, (20 pins). I found this guide http://xbox-scene.co...-v10-on-v12.php and planning on following it so i can save myself from buying a new expensive one.
will it work? TIA

if yours does not have a tsop chip then its a 1.6 and has to use a 1.6 psu.
here is a image of a tsop chip near the lpc header.
the tsop is the big black thing with little silver legs.
