Tech TV

Check out the "five lessons to mod chip the xbox"

One question not address on the show is.

If you do not install a larger hard drive, can you still back up the games? Lets say I wanted to make a hard copy or extra disk of one of my games. When I want to play that back up disk do I need to put in a boot disk or can I just insert the back-up game disk and play?

You can play backups directly from DVDR(W) with no swapping (you need a modchip and suitable BIOS, of course).

You donít need a boot disk if your Xbox is moded and running evox off the hdd and you can probably backup 2 to 4 games on the original drive depending on there size. beerchug.gif

Maybe not, but on the xbox stuff, he seemed to be *reasonably* knowledgable. It was enough to get me interested in modding mine. wink.gif I had no idea what was available before I saw those Screen Savers episodes.

Can't one of you moderator types just use the IP and see who is coming from the same ISP as TechTV... that should narrow it down. Though what would you do once you knew?? PM him with spam? hehe

EDIT: had nesting quotes...didn't like it.

A few of us tried that. Either the server was hosted offsite from the TechTV office or Rose was connecting from home. Of course, he could have just been a guess, but I kind of pick him to be a member of the WhatisIGR clan than someone who would read and absorb information.

What are nesting quotes? wink.gif

He's probably a member but maybe since he's so smart he was on to you and started using a proxy... ph34r.gif

:: I had quoted your quote that was a quote of a quote. I don't like too many within each other esp since all i wanted to quote was what you said not what you quoted which was already a quote of a quoted quote.

I'm assuming you know I was joking around asking what a nested quote was. Your tongue-twister leads me to believe you have a sense of humor. biggrin.gif

Indeed, i've been told that many a times... "johnny, your sense of humor is like a light at the end of the tunnel..."
