hey,
i bought an original 60 gig hdd from microsoft for my xbox360. i was wondering why i cant play the games off of the hdd without the cd/dvd after i installed the games on the hdd. is there anybody who can help me in detail. what do i maybe need in additional hardware or software or maybe both and give me a detailed description on how to do it. thatīb great. also, is there a way to use the software i might need as a media player at the same time. id greatly appreciate it.
thanks to everybody that can help me.

When you install a game on the hard drive, you still need the DVD as a "key" so to speak. It is a safety measure for Microsoft so the consumer doesn't go and rent games, install the game and then return the game.

Basically they don't like it when we share games..

If you want to be able to play games off your HD without the DVD you would then need to JTAG or Reset Glitch Hack your XBOX 360. so just search for either of those key words..

Of course with the JTAG/RGH you lose XBOX Live...
