I am currently running across some issues running Multi-disk games. Rather, switching between disks. I think my main problem is my multi.ini file. I downloaded one, and the only multi-disk games I have ripped at the moment are Forza 4 and The Infinite Undiscovery.

With Infinite Undiscovery, I loaded disk 2, and then loaded my disk one save, and it seemed to switch just fine.

However, Forza 4, at the main menu, it asks you to insert disk 2 to install files to the Hard drive. When I click disk two, it wont switch properly. I think I might have messed up somethings in my Multi.ini. take a look and tell me if this is where it's messed up?

why not use the diskswap capability built into freestyledash?

when the need for another disk occurs, you see the "insert disc X" for about 0.25s and it magically swaps for you.

I believe disc 2 for Forza 4 was dlc type content only, Don't hold me to that, may have been Forza 3. Not really a fan of driving in circles. I recall something from one of my many drug binges, a hazy memory of attempting to install disc 2 onto a stock box, it error-ing out around 99%, and never receiving the option to install disc 2 again,(despite deleting one off and starting the whole process over) frustrated and out of weed, believe I then grinded disc 2 down to a sharp edge and sacrificed my former roommate's cat to appease the talking Major Nelson statue from lecturing me about dl-ing the dlc i paid for but couldn't install from disc, via torrent, Guess he was a dog person, for everytime I played the game on my stock box, i had to backup my gamesave, to counteract the cars from disappearing in my garage.

PS- No fish, sheep, pigs, or other tasty creatures were harmed during the process of this response.

In hindsight since the DLC was from a disc, there probably was a good chance it wasn't locked to the individual console it was installled on, I probably should have tried to transfer the content over to my online box's hd. But as stated above, not really a fan of driving in circles.

Edit- however from reading your snippet, I am seeing instances of DisC1 vs. Dis[size=4]K1 All my Discs are DisCs on my hd, that could be it? GL

fsd doesn't use the launch.ini config like you are trying to accomplish -- that's the old swap.xex plugin for dashlaunch.

I bought FFXIII but haven't installed to my external yet(seems like DVD make XBOX hotter). IF FSD has a disk-swap plugin do I need to re-name the discs as Chuckgofer posted?

disk1 = Usb0:\Games\Final Fantasy XIII\Disk1\default.xex
disk2 = Usb0:\Games\Final Fantasy XIII\Disk2\default.xex
disk3 = Usb0:\Games\Final Fantasy XIII\Disk3\default.xex

If not, then what steps\wording would I need to give FSD?

Ive been trying to set up a multi disc game on a RGH console which has FSD 3 installed. The game in question is Dead Space 2. The game is on an external hdd and is set up like this:

USB0; Game: Dead Space 2/Disc 1 Disc2 (both in the dead space 2 folder)

The plugin FSD Plugin IS loaded.

At the point in the game when the n"insert disc 2" message pops up, nothing happens.

ive checked my launch.ini file and here is all the info off it:

CODE

; launch.xex V3.0 config file
; parsed by simpleIni http://code.jellycan.com/simpleini/

USB0\Games\ Dead Space 2 disc1
USB0\Games\ Dead Space 2 disc2

That whats needed???

Thanks guys, any help with this will be very much appreciated

make sure you don't have any plugins you added to FSD or dash-launch. I got it to work after I installed FSD3 using the built in plugins I didn't turn them on or off, I just changed the ini, I made the game iso iso2god format for both disc

It was me, I was going about it all wrong. Right, I was going through file manager and using the default .xex to boot the game up and each and every time, when the time came to change the disc, it froze, nothing would happen. I checked and rechecked all my settings and nothing. BUT last night, I started the game through the game library and bingo, it swapped over flawlessly. May be I should still to colouring books, crayons and dark corners
