I have all wires connected. The power comes on the chip and the program gives me the 01 d5 code which is good right? So I keep going and flash the chip. It works and goes to verify but then gives me a verification error. I figure no sweat. I go to the read the thing and then it says unknown. I know I have everything soldered and all the switches are in the right place(4on 1,2,3off, disabled). I've tried to boot the xbox with the chip enabled and it doesn't frag but it just goes to ms dashboard. Can anybody help me I'm going crazy trying to figure this chip out.

If you boot with the chip enabled...then it goes to the MS dash...can u run any backups?

If you cannot...if your chip is enabled..looks like a bad d0 connection

I'm think you're right about the bad d0 connection. Can you use an electrical test light to test the d0?

Thanks for the info but I've pretty much given up. I don't know what to do. I've tried everything to flash the F**king chip, and it always says unknown. I know that every point on the mobo is right including d0. It is a very solid solder on the d0. The weird thing is when i turn on the xbox it doesn't frag or anything. The chip lights up and that's about it. I think i'm just going to try to return it.

Do not return it if it is not faulty...

it is probably something that is going wrong

Try FULLY desoldering the chip

then resolder it in...and use the alt d0
or maybe go over to the xecuter forums and ask them directly

I have flashed the chip and it also says unknown. I also get an error verification (error verifying 00003 found [00] expected [ff].) I have no gd reason why that is. However the bios still work. Strange, I wisht he error was a little more spacific. But anyway double check to make sure that it didn't work . Oh yea you said you had 123off and 4 on? You are supposed to have 123 on 4 off. Don't know if it was just a typo. 123 switches should be up and 4 down. Don't know if this helps at all. Wish someone could help me.

try re-flashing with a couple of color modded bios and if you don't get them with the bank selected then 100% d0 problem. you can get 01 D5 in x2bm and d0 not even connected. i verified this myself. so try that and if you don't get color with a color mod bios then d0 isn't connected solid. it can be a sturdy solder job but be 'dry' meaning there's no current flowing through the solder to the wire.

I was wondering if you have to have the dvd drive, hard drive, and rca cable connected while you flash. I'm hoping you say yes. I'm going to buy a multimeter tomorrow so I'll update you all on that.

Sorry it has been so long. My internet got cut off and I haven't had time until now. I bought a multimeter. When I tested all the lpc wires they all gave me the same result when enabled and also disabled, but d0 only gave me a result only when it was disabled. I even tried connecting the red multimeter probe to the top d0 point and it still had nothing. Here are my results.
Multimeter set to DCV 20. Enabled Disabled
Blue 3.28 3.28
Yellow 3.28 3.28
Red 5.09 5.09
Purple 3.22 3.22
Green 3.31 3.31
Orange 3.28 3.28
Brown 3.31 3.31
Black 0.96 0.96
D0 0.01 5.09
Can anyone please tell me their multimeter results. Or better yet what's wrong.
