You do not even need an internet connection to FTP to your Xbox. Just get an ethernet card for your computer or a hub.

No, you can't ftp into your xbox with a 56k because you can't ftp with a modem. You have to have a home network to ftp into your network. We are talking about a Nic to a hub to a xbox. or like me straight nic-crossovercable-xbox. ( i find it faster)

depends on what kind of network you would want.. do you have other computers that you want to network? cause if so you will need a regular rj45+hub+another rj45. If you just want to go from your xbox straight to your pc (no hub) you need a cross over.
