I've been playing this a lotnd I've noticed a few bugs that aren't there on the PC with PJ64 1.5, like:

- Mario's lives, # of stars and camera mode graphics don't appear in the top left, right and bottom right corners respectively

- the Star graphics are garbled a bit - they are blackish

- other minor gfx glitches

Are there problems like this for other people, or with other games? This one is reported as perfect in the sticky post in this forum.

Just wondering,

PS - I'm using the default 0.70 release and Rice's Plugin 5 (the top one), should I be using something else?

I think he meant the Daedalus plugin for PJ64x...

although, for mario64, i would recomend UltraXLE, it runs practicly flawlessly, only issue is, no save games... but there are save states.

The Black bottom stars are on PJ64 with Rices 5.0.0 on the PC. Dont know about the lives.

Either way, its all fixed in the latest build. It will be out when it is.

I'll second that motion. I also like the button configuration on Ultraxle better. What I like to do is test roms on ultra first. If they work there then I'll keep them there otherwise I'll move them to pj64 and try them there. I'm just not all that fond of using the right stick for certain functions.

There are no saves? Does that mean you have to play the whole game in one sitting? Does PJ64 have saves?

PJ-64X does have save. I suggest you use the Daedalus plugin for Mario64 - it works wonderfully!

But UltraXLE doesn't? For any game?

Tuschedz: UltraXLE supports savestates afaik... that means you won't be able to save like on the n64, but you can save anywhere. Well I guess you know what savestates are...

Save states to the RAM or Hard Disk?

Is this correct:
UltraXLE: No standard saves for any game but has save states
PJ64: Standard save works for all games.

I'm not sure whether you guys are just saying UltraXLE has a bug in Mario or what. Also, does PJ64 have save states?

I am looking in the normal places for the pj64 and have found 2 labled "cpx-p64v.70" and "PJ64X-SRC.v0.60". I have both but the one labled "PJ64X-SRC.v0.60" has no default.xbe but has more files in it. Which one do i use. Also i see alot of people talking about plugins. Do i need those or does the newer .70 version play stand alone?

Thanks

cpx-p64v.70 is the pre compiled version released by COMPLEX.

The rest are the sources.

The plugins are compiled into the release, just play it and choose which plugin when you go to launch the rom. Its quite simple.

And to clarify, PJ64-X has both normal saves and save states. UltraXLE only has save states.
