I have a homebrew modchip installed, and and it might have had a bad flash
and everytime i boot up the box with the modchip enabled, it'll turn on then off, then on, and after that, the lights flash green and red. but when i disable the modchip, i can boot i can get into the original dash and play games.

My question is, since it won't boot up in enabled, does that mean that my chip is fried or could there be a loose wire?

As well, if it is fried, can i just install something like a xecuter2 and everything well be okay?

That is either a bad flash, fried chip, or a bad install...
but since u can disable the chip and all works fine...i dont think it is the chip...

I would suggest buying an X2

hrm...i'll try to get more details first,
cuz 'box ain't mine, and it's my friend's, and he said, that he went into the flash bios in evox, and after it didn't start to work, so i guess it's a bad flash (dunno if it's the truth), so
gonna open the box up to check wires, and everything checks out, gonna suggest a new chip

if it was working working and suddenly stopped for no reason then it must be a llose wire, you dont say if the guy has flashed it, if it fucked up while flasing then obviously its a bad flash, just ask the guy.

no need to buy an x2, get the homebrew fitted correctly or reflashed

Okay, wires are fine

I have no clue how to flash the bios outside of evox.

Any tutorials on it, without getting a programmer or building a programmer?

This is what i got right now
2 xbox both 1.0 fitted with the same homebrew chips
and a computer
soldering tools
