hey guys, i got a 2.1 pro on my xbox. quick question- I have an xbox case and the xbox itself will not fit into the case with the LPT port on the back of it. Will my xbox/modchip still fully function if i take off the LPT port and thin connecter that goes on it? Then i could attatch it back on if i ever need to flash my bios smile.gif or will it not work at all? thanks

hmm maybe i didnt make it clear.. sorry..... well if i put the LPT port where it was intended (on top of the video out part ) i adds about an inch of space past the back panel of the xbox. Because my xbox carrying case fits the unmodded xbox perfectly- having an LPT port ont he back of the box sticking out simply wont allow the xbox (in a modded state with LPT port stuck tot he back of it) fir into the carrying case-. this is why i was wondering if the pro will work fine or not without the LPT port connected

The 2.1 will work without the parallel port...

One idea would be.......

Unlpug the FCC cable

Turn on the xbox

I think you would see rather quickly if it worked without it.
