When ever i make a preset in the momdad preset maker, and i open it up in xbtoolalong with the x24977 bios, it automatically checks it and grays it out. does anyone else have this problem? thx a lot

btw, these are two gr8 progs. props to the authors.

That's intentional.

Basically, because I decided not to save anything but cosmetic options in the presets and I just had it always turn that option on when a preset loaded. My current build (not released yet) just leaves it however it is currently set, so if it's off it will stay off and if it's on it will stay on.

I think he was concerned about the graying-out bit...

I think that's because it cannot be changed in the X2 4977 BIOS.

It's a bane and a boon to users, as for some, it makes people happy who do not have DVD drives hooked up, but others sad who screw up their HDs and can no longer boot.

If I didn't have multi-BIOS set up, I'd be hard pressed to use 4977 and risk a problem if the HD couldn't boot for some reason.

According to xbtool's website there is a version of the 4977 bios that allows this.

"Xecuter2 4977 boot from media"

However I havn't tried this yet.

Right, and even though the box may get checked, there is no code in the patch engine which even looks at that option on the BIOSes where the DVD check is off by default, so it won't do any harm.
