Well since it dosn't lose time straight away I guess it allready has a battery just not a big one.
Also I guess if you're going to go through the trouble of opening the box to do it you may as well solder the TSOP and flash the original bios and be done with it. smile.gif

why would you wanna do that, now that phoenix loader is here? anyway we have to try to FIX the clock probs -- and a better way to get around it would be to use audio hack instead of font hack or TSOP flash

the xbox does not have a clock battery it has high storage capatcer that stores the clock bios. its in between a battery and a normal coptatcer. its better then a battery being you dont need to worry abought it waring out and no longer recharging like a pc bios battery. but the disavangage is ya cant leave ya xbox unplugged for weeks and not have a dead clock. if ya whant to put a standerd pc bios battery on a xbox it can probly be done.

but if your relly worryed abought it buy a ups and if ya lose power leave the xbox pluged into that (just dont try to play games ya would drain ya ups in a hr or so). it should keep the clock powerd for weeks.
