Well not really sure what to do now!! I was putting on my new dashboard and well guess I did not pay attention (obviously!!) but i deleted xboxdash.xbe and not msdashboard.xbe. So I am getting a error 13 now. Couple of problems I am not sure I did not back-up xboxdash.xbe. So can I use anyone elses xboxdash.xbe. Second how can I get it on the hard drive, I assume there is a utility out to do something like this in a computer (maybe not...everyone did not do such a stupid thing) Well I guess I was/am a little tired.

Thanks for any help given!!!

First is there a msdashboard.xbe on the hard drive?
If so that should be the original xbox dash
Simply rename msdashboard back to xboxdash.
Xbox boots to the file xboxdash.xbe without a dvd present.

If not then:
Yep you pulled a stupid.
You just deleted the MS xbox dashboard.
First thing you should have done was backed up the entire C partition of the xbox to your PC.

That out of the way:
You can try and get a new xboxdash.xbe sent to you or get it off one of the popular file sharing utils on the net or a friends modded xbox.
First what you should have done is renamed xboxdash.xbe to msxboxdash.xbe on the xbox C partition.
Second After renaming the EvoX "default.xbe" to "xboxdash.xbe" copy it over to the Xbox.
Nothing should be "overwritten"
There is a default.xbe on the xbox hard drive that you do not want to touch.

The xbox boots to the file "default.xbe" on the DVDROM
However, it boots to the file xboxdash.xbe on the HardDrive without a dvd present.
