Modchip + Larger Drive

normal question?

i have a xbox + a larger drive "in this case a 60GB Ibm"

i want to be able to use the original dvd and cd player in the original dashboard, so i can use my dvd remote controll.

maybe make this shit sticky when we find a answer wink.gif

how to make it possible to switch from evox to original dashboard whit a large drive!

do you mean where? or how even? not when...
the answer to all your locking questions lies with the program configmagic. just put that onto your xbox hdd, run it, and follow the app's options...
and while you're at locking your hdd, name your evox dash to evoxdash.xbe and rename your original ms one back to xboxdash.xbe...

Okay here is what i have done.

Dl config magic and locked the HD

copied the msxboxdash-unpatched.xbe and renamed it to xboxdash.xbe

my exox . ini got these lines.

"MSDashBoard = "c:xboxdash.xbe" " whitout the "" smile.gif

and i get a fault 21 "generic bla bla"

gimme a hint!

Are you trying to run the M$ dash by starting your xbox with the modchip disabled, or by launching it from the evox dashboard menu?

I found that if you put the DVD in the drive at the exoX screen, and then start xbmp, The DVD plays using the M$ player and the remote works.
