Ok, so I install my new X-ecuter 2.2 PRO.

I start my Xbox with the chip enabled and it completely freezes, then I get red and green flashes (On the eject button) and my box says "Your xbox requires servicing".

Can anyone explain to me breifly why this is happening? I thought the X2.2 Pro was preflashed with cromwell.

Also, if I disable my chip the Xbox boots fine.

Oh yeah, and 1) I'm using the POGO pins adapter and when I have the chip on, the LED on the switchboard does not light up.

If you are getting FRAG and the blue light on the switch PCB is not on when the chip is enabled, then you have bad LPC connections.

Does the box boot with the chip disabled?

Yeah, if the chip is disabled it boots perfectly normally.

Check your LPC points, you know that the d0 is OK if you frag, but the LPC points are not making contact if you don't get a light.

So i guess I need to check my pogo pins again then to make sure they're aligned properly. Also is the LPT port essential to correct usage of the chip if I have an available network?

He said t does at the bottom. I think it's also the bad Lpc connections.

You should've soldered the wires, It's easy I got mine on in less than 3 mins. I ended up having a bad flash though.LOL

edit: My pc is slow.

You are feeling the wrath of the pogos, I hate them damn things mad.gif .

I have heard that there are Pro's out there that come with no bios on it. Did you flash the chip?

Damn, here's the story.

I can now turn on my Xbox, hear it beep and restart, repeat then frag.

I think it's probably my soldering but would that prevent the standard bios from booting?

i have a v2.2 lite chip. i installed it and it works fine. except if i try to go into ms dash board or start the box with out the chip activated, it goes to the "return to manufacturer screen. well my chip also came with an extra ground wire and the gray thin wire together. do i need to attach that somewhere on the board to be able to go back to ms dash?????????? and can u send me instructions.

The ground wire should be on the bolt nearest the chip and the grey wire should be on D0.

Ok I checked al my LPCs and they all seem to be ok but I still cant get a boot.

Is there anything else that can cause this error, (2x Beep, frag)?
