X-B.I.T v1.5 news

We would just like to remind customers that the new X-B.I.T V1.5 requires the V1.5 software applications, it will not work with 1.0 apps. Furthermore, the user will no longer have to snap the seal or write protect tab, since each piece is pretested with Linux BIOS before shipment, therefore we snap the tabs during testing and before the X-B.I.T's are packaged ready to be shipped. This is a change in procedure since the 1.0 days, to ensure that each X-B.I.T functions 100% correctly.

X-B.I.T v1.5 Sample Pictures

The new X-B.I.T version has some optimizations compared to v1.0: it now has an Actel chip (instead of Laticce), a faster USB bus, a new updated win32 PC tool, improved power/ground for Xbox v1.5 and a lower retail price.
It's still fully solderless for xbox v1.0-v1.5 and both wires and headerpin install are also still possible. There will also be an adapter sold separatly (not yet released) for Xbox v1.6 that will require 9 wires to solder.

X-B.I.T v1.6 Adapter News and Picture

X-B.I.T 1.6 adapters will be shipping as from Wednesday of next week. The adapter reduces the wire count from 11 down to 9 on XBX v1.6 consoles. Obviously the LPC port will have to be rebuilt first. Adapters will be sold at a very reasonable price by retailers, meaning that we can offer the end user unbeatable value for money. Stocks should be with retailers next Friday and installation diagrams will be placed online at the same time.
