when do i format the f:

in windows while i have the new drive hooked up, or can it be done when its inside the xbox?

You can either do it through FlashFXP or you can do it from EvoX through a command like:

ConfigSector "hd.bin"
Format c:
Format e:
Format f:
Format x:
Format y:
Format z:

Obviously that would format all drive, but you get the point. Look on the tutorial page for instructions on how to do it from FlashFXP.

Either way you do it with the hard drive in the XBOX.

Do I have the seagate 10gb hard drive?

When I go into the f drive using ftp software and click refresh, it says this:

226-free disk space under this directory : 126.295.711.912

So I think I do but I'm not sure. Also, I tried formatting it with evo-x and still won't let me put anything on f:
