Please comment about the most current screenies...

I think they are doing a very good job on it and can't to see the finished product beerchug.gif .
NO FLAMING (Too much flaming in my last thread)

People who didn't like the red color, it can be changed (this shows that)

These aren't LEECHED from the Xbox Open Source website they are much smaller (i converted them to JPG, 56k users be happy) and I am hosting them...

Just so everyone knows NeXgen will be skinable, so you can change the orb picture (*cough* post), the cell wall (bg) etc...

Well i woke up in the mrning to find my email flooded with thousands of email saying that we are fony's & we just gave up on nexgen the same way the original coders did. This is not true & to prove it here are some screens for now so shut the fuck up sit down & wait.

HERE ARE SCREENS FOR YOU HAPPY!!!!!!!!

I am very impatient to have it on my XBox!!! the most beautiful dash I have ever seen; the green one is as good as the red one in my opinion.
Thx to the nexgen developpers community to offer us the perfect dash wink.gif

Is neXgen 1.0 going to have a lock/unlock HDD function?

I think it just looks like Nexgen, right jester.gif

The problem was never the appearance, it was the underlying code, so I don't see how screenshots help anyone wink.gif

looking good. My only suggestion is to make the models a little less translucent.

I would have to disagree... this is one ugly dashboard. It looks like a bad knockoff of the MSDash, especially the background. I know I won't be using this dashboard, but each to their own.

I also hope all the backend functionality is finally fixed. The FTP server was flakey at best.

I hope my post in the other thread wasnt taken as flaming. I was just being honest about the appearance. It just doesnt look as good as it did on .95 but i know it isnt finished at all. Sorry if it was taken as a hostile comment. As far as Feflicker's comment, it says on the front page that they were innundated with with emails asking for screens. Wow devs that respond to pleas of screenies? What next?

Yes the neXgen FTP server has been fixed it had many memory leaks that have been worked through. The screens were to show you some of the progress since the view of the original red colourd skin. This skin will probabley change somewhat from when it's final. There is still alot that needs to be completed as it's difficult just picking up someones code and trying to work through it. We are doing our best to bring you what you want. Every application or emu for the XBOX has had it's problems and hasn't been perfect from it's original release but it got there in the end just look at xSnes9X and EvoX and look at what has become of them since the first release. Progress does take time smile.gif

I would have to say the dashboard looks very awesome! Definitely can't wait to use the final product. Keep up the great job!

I know... My post was supposed to be humorous. The point being that users asking for screenshots as "proof" is pretty ridiculous jester.gif

I personally think just a list of things fixed or in-progress does more than pictures... wink.gif
