I decided to update my post with some other items:

Have you got an unused Matrix programmer lying around?
You can use it to flash your own cheapmod chips. All you need is a small adapter, and I have a few that I have made. It's a 10-pin female header block, attached to a small board with male headers arranged in the cheapmod PCB design, so it's really easy to use. I have attached a few pics to give you an idea of how it works.
You can use the Matrix/Chameleon flash program available from xodus-chip.com to flash your cheapmods with this adapter.

If anyone wants one, let me know. I am selling them for $10.00 shipped. So if you have a Matrix programmer, you can turn it into a cheapmod programmer for almost less than it costs to buy a cheapmod.

Cheapmods are all sold out

I have a few Matrix Programmers that I have modded, so now they are powered by USB. This way you don't need to use 9-volt battery. The programmers are powered by your PC's USB port. No need to worry about a bad flash from a weak battery, the power is always constant on these programmers.

Thanks archon79, likewise, I'm sure.
And I'm sorry to say that I have sold all the cheapmods. I'll try to get some more, they seem to be a popular item.

No, archon79 is just being courteous. I don't think he is too concerned with his post count, as he doesn't have an exorbitant amount of posts. He is just a good member doing other members he has dealt with a favor by giving them a recommendation. And I give him an excellent recommendation in return.

You should make a tutorial about modding the Matrix programmer.. I could seriously use one.. to make sure I solder the right wires and such.
