If you wish to use your backup of Enter the Matrix on your HD, you need to patch the game. ProjectX released two patches that are needed.

First, you use:

Enter_The_Matrix_FULLDVD_REAL_FIX_XBOX-ProjectX

There is an EXE file inside which updates some long named files for the game. Then, use the new default.xbe in it, in place of the original.

Finally, you use:

Enter_the_Matrix_FIX_for_the_game_crashing_after_projectx_fix

There is a brand new default.xbe inside it too. Use the default.xbe inside this ZIP in place of the one from the previous ZIP.

Upload the game to your HD and you are all set!

DO NOT PM ASKING WHERE TO FIND THEM. THERE ARE AT THE USUAL PLACES.

Thanks to XBOX_Mod for the help

1. Use the new bios 4976.02

2. Ftp game over to PC

3. Goto Movie Folder Copy Atari.vid

4. Then goto .mvf folder and delete 3 files (g89_n.vid = 200,043kb, g51_s.vid = 177,175 kb, g89_g.vid = 164,802 kb)

5. Now paste that Atari.vid File 3 times and rename to the files you just deleted

6. This should reduce the game from 4.76gb to about 4.25gb

7. Then make your image of the game and burn

What movie files are deleted in this way? Is there a way to be able to view those files using an external viewer? I'd personally rather try to downsample first than delete files.

The patch I found was not named as the above file.

px-Matfix.rar

etm FIX_for_the_game_crashing_after_projectx_fix.zip

Do not PM me where to get these files or how to use them.

all NFO files are included

I'm attempting to make a backup dvd of the matrix and it doesn't boot. What's odd is that EvolutionX sees the disc fine.

The steps I used:
- ftp to pc
- replace g89_n.vid, g51_s.vid, g89_g.vid with Atari.vid
- used gdfimage to make the xiso
- burned with nero.

Has anyone else come across this? Perhaps I'll try to use a multigame menu on the dvd and see if that makes a difference.

i have found a way for the straight backup off the PAL retail cd to work...

YES! that means... no projectX fixes... and no renaming files!

I used ADR Patcher to patch the main xbe... and i belive you should be able to get the latest patch data from xbox-saves.
