hello everyone,

well, i've been downloading and burning xbox games for quite a while now, just got the new matrix game, but it's too large to burn onto dvd-r or dvd-rw. what files are safe to pull out in order to make it smaller? I read about compressing video, but I would rather omit unneeded files first (xbox live stuff, game demos, etc..) before I down sample any videos. I would think that the videos in the matrix game should be quite impressive so I don't want to lose the quality unless there is no other option.

Ok enough bashing, time to answer the question:

Enter the Matrix was designed to fit on a dual layer dvd, same as metal gear solid 2 if you remember. You can either extract the iso and copy it to your xbox harddrive, or you may need to download a different release of the game. Check out some nfo files for the game, some teams ripped out little bits to fix this problem, its only about 900 megs ripped out. If you put it on your harddrive make sure you get the two patches that are out, because sometimes the game will freeze at certain spots without the patches.

Edit: Or you could BUY the game for once..... Check the forum rules next time before you post, i think you violated some rules in your first statement

There is a scene patch that remedies the long filename problem, I believe.

So if the game isn't in stores yes, how does the original poster have it a DVD-Rip?
Locked for piracy.
