OK so this is what i've pieced together tonight on how the best way to unlocking the extra 23 gigs on my 169 gig HD.
1.) Get and install evox 3921
2.) Use XBTool and turn on the option to use partition 7 as g
3.) Make sure use drive g is on yes in evox settings

is that correct?????

This isn't going to affect the 137 gigs that i've been using is it. Like i dont need to reformat or anything do i? If so damn! Let me know if what i'm going to do is correct or give me advise or comments
thanks a lot

That should work.

Note that you have to edit the evox .ini so it points to the games directory in the g: drive.

Good Luck.

Yes, you need to format g: only. Use the ftp raw commands and format g, then use away.....

BTW - ftp raw as follows

Formatpath DeviceHarddisk0Partition7
you receive a number back from the query, use
this number in the following command

FormatDrive 'the number'

all I was saying was you must format the G: drive partition to make use of it. Everything else you mentioned must be done, and then the formating. I mentioned the raw ftp commands because they are so easy to format with, and you don't risk messing any of your original stuff up. I can try and help if you tell me what ftp program you are using. I personally use SmartFTP, although I know its not a favorite around here, it has always done me right smile.gif Please post your ftp program and I will try and taylor the exact "clicks" to your needs.

Something isnt working right.. it says the drive has been formatted, but under evox it still says 0 free space... and under flashfxp if i click "make folder" the folder doesnt appear.. WTF. Has ANYONE gotten these raw commands to work under ftp, because I really want to get it formatted this way, i have way to much to lose on my precious f: drive.. 160 gigs here we come... blink.gif

Ok I patched a x2 4977 bios with the lba48 patch, I chose "partition 6 takes up to 137, partition 7 takes the rest" I left "Ignore hard drive partition table" UNCHECKED. made it 1 meg (i'm using a x2 lite)

I flashed my chip and that went fine.

I update to the new evox dash. I added in "UseGDrive = Yes" I formatted my partition 7 using raw commands, and G folder now shows up when I FTP in or look at it from the system settings.

The problem is, the system management settings shows G: to have size 0. and I tried to ftp a file to the G drive and it won't allow any files to be stored there.

Anyone know what I did wrong???

The only thing I can think of is.. Is your hard drive big enough to use this?

QUOTE (Drew826 @ Sep 23 2003, 03:54 AM)
try the command without the single quotes:

Formatdrive 03BE8032

Ya, you are not supposed to use the quotes, but you cant use that same key again.
Everytime you give it the "Formatpath" command, you will get a NEW KEY. Once you use "Formatdrive", that key is no good. What olftboy said to do it is exactly right. (minus some \)

Formatpath \Device\Harddisk0\Partition7
you receive a number back from the query, use
this number in the following command

FormatDrive 'the number' (no quotes)
