Great job on the tutorial! As usual, I go thoroughly reading the tutorials looking for corrections smile.gif.

1) cheapmods/Matrix's require a 256k bios. You may want to make note of that.
2) The filename for the bios WILL work with "bios.bin", but due to the burning order or NERO, "BIOS.BIN" often works better.
3) For the chameleon chip, you do not name the bios BIOS.BIN, but rather LINUXBIO.BIN

And another FAQ question:
When I start my backed-up game, I get a black screen with sound!
Turn off all three IGR sections in Evox settings.

I'd also like to see info on backing-up games on the hard drive. I have a small tutorial written if you're interested.

it is also possible to change your xbox name by gaining a high score in dead or alive 3, just set a high score and you can change the name....ive also heard it can be done with a couple of other games, but dead or alive 3 is the only one ive seen

yes u can change the name that way, but as the tutorial explains, there r other ways but the way i explained is by far the easiest

i didn't know you were putting that in a tutorial of some kind. I don't care cause what i said is better than that misinformation that was there to begin but now i'm going to have to write you a proper networking tut... or find one. Just cause that's so horrible i really can't even fix it with my comments.

EDIT: I found a ftp guide that can take the place of the crap one you have now... its HERE> it contains nothing misleading and doesn't say stupid things like to put in a gateway address. Again it should only be used for direct pc to xbox connections either with crossover or straight through a hub or switch. If you don't want to use IE like it says simply replace the last paragraph with open the ftp client of choice and connect to your xbox at 192.168.0.3

altho quite harshly put, mrRobinson is right. i dont know much about FTPing and basically wrote down MY settings which was clearly wrong. the link mrRobinson provided is now in the tut instead of my FTP tut
