I want to be able to take screen shots of xbox games while i am playing them. I know debug xbox's can do this and I have read on here that you can turn a modded xbox into an almost debug console, but it sounds complicated. Is there no software that i can use on pc that connects to xbox to take snaps? I know I could get a video capture card, but the screens wouldn't be as good. Thanks for any help.

There's XbCapture GUI, but can't use that because it requires MS sdk. I guess that 's the same, GLaCiERDC?

yeah the xbcapture gui still requires the ms xdk, its just gives you an interface instead of using a command prompt. its either xbox xdk or get a video capture card to capture stuff off your tv i guess.

Being in evox wont help a damn bit. The xbox runs ONE .xbe at a time. And if you look hard enough, you can find the XDK. |

I used to use both the XDK dash and evoX together through a multi hd setup.I had 2 hds connect through a 3 device ide cable.I just used a power splitter to connect the 2 hds to the same power source and used a switch to select which one is being sent power.I'm sure you could probably install both through a single drive setup as well but I am unsure if the files would interfere with the regular MS dash files.

I do this, the best way is to install the XDK launcher, then copy your original MS Dash files back on top of that, works perfect. When looking for a debug bios, TATX works perfectly. EDIT: oh ya, I merged the 2 topics, dont know why a 2nd was started This post has been edited by heinrich: Nov 24 2003, 09:51 AM |

It certainly may be possible to take pictures. Think of the EvoX IGR!

excactly. all that would be needed to be done would be to make a small picture capture routine and tack it onto the end of an xbe upon launch the same way the igr works (this would probably be extremely difficult to do tho) and dont forget how buggy evox's telnet/gamehacking tsr in the latest dash is

the way you saying is not the same as how the XDK takes a screenshot......
so I suppose what you are saying is possible, I just dont see it happening. |
