Ok, everytime I turn on my X-box, I can hear the sound coming from my game or dashboard but i can't see the picture, like normal. When i was messing around with xbox media player i changed a setting to attempt to see the movie i was watching in full screen. My guess is, I changed a video setting and now there is no way to get back in there and change it back to normal (due to BLINDNESS!!) Can someone please help me?!?
Thanks

relax and calm down...
and forgive me for my bad english...

you accidentally changed your EEPROM from NTSC to PAL.
the reason there's no picture because xbox thinks that it's PAL, but the video decoder is actually NTSC.
now we have to make the xbox think it's ntsc again
so download a program called video_select_v2_enigmah-x.rar from xb**s it's located in /XBOX/apps/utilities/video mode switch/ folders.
and make a boot disk from the xiso contain within that file,
afterwards, put that boot disk into your xbox,
wait a few seconds until the programs load and hit button B to make it back to ntsc

the site ?
it's againt's the forum's rule to say the site out loud....
it's an FTP based website, so you'll need to access it with your favorite ftp client...

here's how you do it :

use mirc...
use EFNET server (any EFNET)
go to #xbins channel
type msg xbins !list in the main chat window
open the new chat window and it will give you the ip address, usename and password for ftp access

or check this out xbox-scene tutorial to xbins

I've been modding for quite a while and have used every version of xbox media player. The other day I put an updated 2.4 version and had changed a video setting to pal on accident and when I rebooted my screen was flickering like psyco in black and white. Since then I have re-soldered and re-soldered again not thinking about that. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure that's the problem. I thought I overheated something and was about to by a new xbox. Thanks for the help. No one in the mod chip instalation room had any idea. Thanks again. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

That sounded like my problem because I did change a setting to pal in xbmp, but it didn't work. The boot disk worked of that program but it didn't make a difference weather it was in pal or not. My screen is still flickering like crazy. Oh well, I guess that was the last try. sad.gif

Lets see how many posts I can do. I jumped to my conclusion to fast. I still couldn't see any change after I changed the setting to NTSC and assumed it didn't work. Once I rebooter all was well. That was a relief. Thanks again for the help
