So.. you've seen some of the pics people are using in their posts.. and sometimes in their SIG's at the bottom of their posts.

Rule of thumb... for SIG Banners.. keep them less the 450 Pixels across.. and less than 150 pixels high! This is still a horendously big pic for a SIG.. consider it the max.. half this would be best!

Also NOTE: We love Pics of NUDES and such.. but this is not a PORN site.. and children do read and participate in these forums. We ask that Nipples, Vaginas, and Penises not be exposed. Feel free to Mask / cover up any naughty bits.

Otherwise.. a mod might! smile.gif

Well.. if you want to add 1 to 10 pics to a post.. it's pretty simple.

First.. they need to be in one of two different formats... GIF or JPG / JPEG will do nicely! Transparent GIF's work well too.

You'll need a picture server to host the PIC.. so that XBOX-SCENE does not incure the costs of hosting it for you. If you do not have a PIC SERVER HOST.. try a SEARCH in our Forums, or use GOOGLE or MSN Search "FREE PICTURE SERVER" as the search item!

Once you have a host.. upload it there. Then take the pointer... for example..

My PIC is DEMO.JPG.. and I just uploaded it to WWW.PICHOST.COM/MYNAME

So.. to post it here on the screen in the forums..

use this context:

CODE
[IMG]http://WWW.PICHOST.COM/MYNAMEDEMO.JPG[/IMG]

You could also use the IMAGE button.. as it is easier for some. Click it.. and plast the URL of http://WWW.PICHOST.COM/MYNAMEDEMO.JPG into it.

Either way.. your PIC will now be visible.

While you are looking for a PIC SERVER.. some sites do NOT allow you do do REMOTE linking (that is what we do here).. TRIPOD / GEOCITIES for example usually do not allow REMOTE LINKING. There are a number of dedicated site for PIC HOSTING.. a little research or using the SEARCH here on XBOX-SCENE.. and you'll find a number of PIC SERVERS available.

hsd single slashes don't appear in posts for some reason, so for the sake of people not being confused: he means http://www.pichost.com[slash]myname[slash]demo.jpg

Single FRONT-slashes appear fine. Back-slashes are buggy. The correct URL that has been attempted twice is:
http://www.pichost.com/myname/demo.jpg

With respect to the backslash issue, just double up on the back-slashes to band-aid the problem.
Type "C:\\backup" to show "C:\backup"
Type "D:\\Media\\Videos\\demo.wmv" to show "D:\Media\Videos\demo.wmv"

NOTE: The above URL is an EXAMPLE URL and is arbitrary. It IS a dead link.
