Here's some concept art for my design

user posted image

Blue LED jewel mod with laser cut fan grill "blade design"
Blue Cold Cathode along bottom under front lip (looks like the xbox has running lights)
Orange split loom around the bottom edges under lip
Silver Heads of Bolts for decoration
Blue LED power mod

Any comments or ideas to make it better?

ah ok. that was my next guess,

Looks like a little too much work for an Xbox. I think the orange should be replaced with a cooler/more manly color.

or some type of rivot looking thing
to make it a bit more industrial looking

i overlooked it the first time. but also the ribbed edges on the bottom are also a nice touch. this is going to be a huge project for you.

i got my training at post secondary school for maya, im a professional 3d artist actually (animator really), but i threw that together just to see the colours

well, the model itself took no more then 15 mins, its actually quite lame for a 3d model, but i just wanted to mess with different colour combonations etc

today i added the blue power LED and also painted the case a few coats of the grey
its looking good so far
im loving the new blue power led
it was really simple to do also

i have the orange trip on the bottom and the blue cold cathode in the front also
next i have to do some more coats of the grey and then mask off the orange area
cept i need a different orange.. the one i have is to dark for my liking
im using tamia rc car paint btw, incase anyone is wondering
after its all done, im going to clear coat the whole thing also
and someday ill do the 411gb project

ill post pics when its done finally

btw, i like those thumbscrews, ill look into them
the one at my local store dont look as good as the ones you posted senates
