* Full Remote Control

Back Panel:
* Power
* 60mm 31 CFM (Silent) Fan
* Video Select Switch
* Component Video Out (HDTV)
* Composite Video Out (SDTV)
* Analoge Audio L/R Out
* Toslink Optical Out
* I2C
* 2 USB Ports
* Network Interface

Internal:
*120GB 7200rpm Hard Drive
* DVD Disabled (Hardware Mod)
* Video Switcher (Full breakout box -HDTV/NTSC)
* Full Game Pad
* DVD Dongle
* 1.1 Mainboard with 1.0 fan/heatsink modification

All this in a 11X8.5X2.5 inclosure.

Too many to count however if I made a 2nd one I could do it in a day or two now that I know how to fit everything. This all started as a Sony DSS receiver that was dead. The only heat issues I had was the GPU. I have since made a new heatsink and now I have no problems with heat issues. The new heatsink is a combo 1.1 with the fan from a 1.0.

If anyone else can make it smaller I would sure like to know how they did it since the mainboard is a tight fit and the power suppy had to be cut down to fit. cool.gif

it is small... but you took out the DVD drive? what are you doing about that? I put my xbox in a go-video DVD player to make it component size, and kept the DVD wink.gif

Cosidering that I have 3 other Xboxes in my home hooked up to the network I really dont have a need for the DVD-ROM as I can use another xbox to rip a game or whatever else if I really need it on this box. Everything else will be FTPed to the HD or streamed.

Thats FREAKIN awesome! Absolutely incredible work there. Looks like everything fits in like a glove and has its own place in that box. This makes me want to actually try it, but I dont know if my modding skills are up to that challenge. Would you consider writing a tut? BTW, what kind of temps are you getting with everything crammed into there?

CPU = 50c
GPU = 43c
MB = 40c

A tutorial would be hard to do however I may write some of the parts that are not self explanatory such as the pinouts, video switcher, button board, etc. I am using a Sony SAT-B55 as the case. And yes everything fits better than a glove smile.gif

As for my testing the most critical temp is the GPU. If it goes over 51c then it is in danger of lockup. The CPU is able to go well over 60c without lockups. I would say that this is the chip that was the bigest pain in the ass. I will post some updated pics as the the new revision heat sink later today.
