I've made an xiso extraction tool, it does rar&iso->ftp directly, no need to extract anything to hd first. Probably needs some testing before a public release, so feel free to try it out and post bugs here.

Win32 only - grab it from:

edit: xbox-hq has kindly provided hosting for SUXX, official web page is now

http://suxx.xbox-hq.com/

Current features does NOT include:
file name length checks
xbe patching

But it should be quite usable anyways tongue.gif

If you really want to post feature requests you can of course do so, but it's the extraction engine that I'm mainly interested in getting tested.

And yeah, the time remaining bug is known sleeping.gif

Think http://www.swixsport.com/. See the icon (yeah, yeah, idea shamelessly stolen from the ski folks). I figured it suited the app well. And, yes, it is of course a variation of the name of QWIX smile.gif

This thing has been on my drive since sometime before summer this year. For validity of my claim, check:

http://www.nadox.se/xfer/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6

As for undermining him, well - seems like QWIX is written in Delphi too, the obvious idea would of course be to merge the SWIX code into QWIX. SWIX code will be released as GPL, but I figured having it tested first might be smart.

dont take my comments as anything negative or flaming or anything trying to put you down, people making competition and great programs is a good thing, taking names so close to existing tools to maybe try and ride some of the success off the existing tools isint a good thing.

Stop this rip-off..
U wana make ur own iso extraction, fine... Keep Qwix out of it!

Qwix is unique, and no1 will ever make anything half as good.. So stop trying!

didn't notice any errors on the first game i tried (kill switch). But on I-ninja, it only xferred the files from the root of the.iso, the files from the /xbox/ dir didn't make it (although SWIX created the dir on my xbox)

suggestions:

xbe patching
auto game folder naming
batch size indicator (to show total to be xferred)

o..and as far as the name is concerned, i don't think its a huge deal (i mean the shit's all free anyways), but changing it would probably be a good idea if you intend it to be a standalone release.

There are certainly huge possible speed improvements to be made in the Qwix extraction engine (though mostly for extraction to a local hd, I guess)

Thanks man. Appreciate the name change. smile.gif It took a long time to arrive at that name, and it's only been out a while, so I hate to try to rename it again.

Extraction speed improvements? I haven't noticed any speed problems here.

Devenic: I did some testing last week on a ~4g iso. Qwix took some 15 minutes dontknowhowmanyseconds, and mine took 11minutes something. However, this is for extraction to HD. So it's not a speed problem (as in pc->xbox is slow), just that it could be faster on local HD (think making multigame disks).
