You mean a system that is native 16:9 doesn't come with HD Cables by default?

Would it be good if I plugged it into my phillips 19" TFT.

What converters would I need (It has analogue and digital inputs). Keeping in mind I live in the UK. We use SCART here.

LOL.. they should have made it ONLY HDTV... because why would you be buying a $400 videogame system if you are still on a Non-HDTV? Instead of buying the Xbox360, maybe you should just go out and use that towards your purchase on a nice TV.  tongue.gif

So in your opinion i should die a slow and painfull death for using my XBOX 360 Deluxe pack on a nonHDTV 14" television?

Although ive been contemplating a VGA cable to plug the XBOX into my monitor (its also 15" but at least id get a better resolution). How can i get sound thru the VGA cable though? I dont have a Hifi system or an amplifier...

There are the left/right red/white audio cables which come with it. Come on, man, you can do better than that. dry.gif

Yeah ive noticed. But i mean, whats the best way to get audio from those leads? You obvisouly cant connect them to standar PC speakers. Ive seen my bro's hifi, which has inputs like these. Pardon me if the question sounds kinda stupid but im no good when it comes to audio tongue.gif

you'd pretty much need one of these

But you'd only get Stereo sound unless both the game you were playing and your speakers supported some form of Dolby Pro Logic. FYI... AFAIK there was only 1 game in the entire current gen xbox catalog that does laugh.gif

If you want surround sound your receiver/speakers need to accept Dolby Digital by way of an optical/Toslink connection.

I plan on buying the VD-Z3 module that allows xbox to vga monitor support, would that work with the xbox 360?

Yes it would, however it's essentially converting an HD signal into a VGA signal. The Xbox 360 will have an optional VGA adapter that will output DIRECTLY to VGA in whatever resolution you'd like. It's a much much MUCH better solution than the VD-Z3.

Though from what I hear the VD-Z3 is one of the best solutions for the current Gen Xbox.
