I have the BenQ's keys

Do i take the Hitachi keys and put em in the benq

(get the OFW from the hitachi) and open that as the BenQ source?

The BenQ is allready Flashed

Spoofed drives don't work with xd3. Do some research

if it is a pre 78 hitachi then you can spoof the drive in and the xgd3 games should work, but it will defo not be live safe.

pre 78 hitachi's do not have the AP2.5 checks, same as samsung drives. i have swapped out the drives for friends who dont go on live and its working grand for them.

I asked more or less the same question and my post was moved to the NEWB forum.

It also had no more than idle speculation and no real useful help or information.

What's going on here?

FYI, the NEWB forum is probably the best place to get a quick answer, also, you asked a NEWB question, as did the OP in this thread.

I mean it's pretty simple, you load the dummy bin from the hitachi into the source, then load benq firmware into the target, and click "spoof source to target". Write the firmware to the drive and you're done.

All of this is covered in the jungleflasher tutorial.

And that was all I wanted, thank you.

BTW, if you read my post then you know I ended it with saying I had read the jf guide and still was having a hard time.

Newb question? My apologies for the redundancy, as you field these all the time but I really needed to know. Thank you again.
