im trying to write the hex from the syncrf360 mod: CMD RF controller - http://forums.xbox-scene.com/lofiversion/i...hp/t709618.html

my programmer works fine for 12f683 chips but this 12f629 is giving me some trouble

first off, when i try write i get this popup:
IPB Image

whether i click yes or no, it tries to program then throws this error:
IPB Image

anyone able to help as to what the cause is, and possibly a solution? thanks

12F629 requires the oscal value to be read prior to programming and added to the hex file. Some flash programs import it automatically, others require manual input. If you lose the oscal value you might as well toss the pic.

Alright, thanks. Just a couple more questions.

Is the oscal value stored towards the beginning of the hex file? Im not at my pc now but I recall a 3FFF value on its own within the first few bytes.

Also, does the 12f683 not require an oscal value? Or is it just something I havent noticed before.

Thanks again

Oscal is at the very end, 12f683 doesn't require that step.
