Going To Walmart At Launch? Options

well my lady at ms fell through but she gave me some goodies (t-shirt, nametag holder, buttons) since she could only reserve one 360 at the wal-marts around here and she already did that for another friend. but i enjoy getting things and anticipation so i will go to walmart at around 5-6pm on nov 21 and wait in line (its a 24hr wal-mart) and if i dont get one then i will go on over to best buy and wait there until they open at 8. i already preordered in late august but i dont get it until a week after launch but whatever. its all business for me anyway.

The Walmart by my house said theyre not opening at midnight? Then again, some stupid kid told me who said "I could be wrong.. Go ask the Front Desk", and I had also never seen him there before.

This is for EVERY Walmart in the nation right?

Just a bit of info on the Walmart watch...

Had a guy we play with that's older (so it wouldn't sound like some kid calling although I'm 25... ) and he asked to speak to the managers of 2 different 24 hour stores.. both told him the exact same story... they have no number of what they will get for launch... they will however know 2 to 3 days before... they will get a call from their regional warehouse and they will inform the store on the numbers they will get... we are going to call these 2 and find out which will have more premiums... and camp there... if that doesn't work camp at best buy... where we plan to have a generator to setup a lan party while we wait... already checked with best buy to make sure this was ok and they said "hell yeah that would be awesome". well free advertisement should be welcomed...

That's cool, but is the 12:00AM launch nationwide with WalMart? That's what I really want to know. If the Electronics dept. is telling people that they're not opening at 12 when they in fact are, I guess that means I'll be the only dude in line, which is most definitely a good thing.

Only 24-Hour Walmarts are doing the 12:01am Launch.

We were all misled.

Oh well, I can wait 7 more hours to get mine.

Wal-Mart has begun receiving launch instruction packages, which are intended to prepare each of its outlets for the chaos that might ensue when the Xbox 360 drops at midnight on November 22nd. Employees have been instructed to distribute numbered tickets (as many as the store has 360 units) starting at 10:00 PM on the 21st. The tickets are divided into two sets (green and silver), in order to differentiate between the core and premium bundles

the closest 24 hour walmart is like 30 miles away and im not for one second thinking about doing that. I really dont want to go to a store at at 6am
( if thats even early enough considering missing schoool and having to wake up early)

Cattykid you live in A town. I went to college at kutztown university. We would go to Crocodile rocks once in awhile, they have some good band sometimes. By the way Allentown is in the sticks....lol just kidding.

Here is my plan. 1- try walmart at 12am 2- try any store that will be open at midnight ( do your research ahead of time. 3-wait till regular store open (stores that don't pre orders): target, kmart, sears, sam goody, b.j's, sam's club, ebgames, gamestop. Use your imagination

this will almost certainly but not definatley get you a 360 on launch day.
