hello,

does anybody here have any idea on how to fix xbox1 error code 7 and 9?

i have a unit here which comes up with error code 7 sometimes 9 if i change any part of the xbox like the ide cable the hdd and even the dvd rom ..

i checked the main board all seems ok, this is a 1.1 xbox version with a chip,

error code 7 and 9 has something to do with tha hdd right?

so i checked everythng that is connected to hdd all seem ok even the hdd i tried another working hdd from another working chipped xbox still it gives error code 7 on this unit...

this is my second post i dunno what happen tp my last post about 2 to 3 days ago maybe it was deleted or something.. uhh.gif

Put another HDD (tested on PC) in your Xbox, then change IDE cable. After that, run HEXEN from DVD and prepare this new HDD. If Xbox will work properly, you have broken old HDD.

Since you already tried a different hard drive and your DVD drive is a factor, it's gonna be the IDE cable (or the controller itself.. rare). Replace it.

DVD specific error codes are 10-12. If your other chipped box's HDD was locked, you'd get 06.
