Here is the situation. First the guy tried to flash onboard tsop with 007 gamesave and all went well except he used wrong bios. (is v1.4 w/ focus chip) Now it is in my hands to repair. My question is will a X3 modchip work ok with a fubarred tsop? Thanx for any info.

Ok I went ahead and put X3 in but now all I get is Green light then off, Green light then off, and Green light then flash green and red. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If everything installed correctly your X3 should boot. I made a mistake of having the wrong banks selected on my X3 and it fragged just like your explaining. Good luck.

Tap the power button, don't hold it. You will not be able to repair the tsop or boot to a corrupted tsop, so you will have to load the ms bios on the chip for live. If you tap the power button and it still frags, your soldering is bad, check the voltages, the correct ones are in my sig.

novakpower, I have dips 2-5 off and 1 on and tried 2 on and 1, 3, 4, 5 off and etc. with no luck there. Also tried booting off backup bios using eject+power. Thanx anyway though.

acemilo, I have already tried the tap power as quick as possible with no joy so I guess it is back to rechecking soldering again.(and of course lpc this time) thanx.

Good luck, I did an X3 on a 1.4 and it was a breeze. I love these chips.

I got it figured out. It was a burnt trace on lpc. Can't seem to locate photo I used for figuring it out but E(in the pic it was E anyway) on lpc was the culprit. Thanx for the help guys.
