Wow, you retards need to shut the hell up. Seriously, you are the reason why Xbox-Scene has become a laughingstock by people at XboxHacker. Sometimes I don't agree with their elitism, but I REALLY don't agree with your dumbass comments. It's ok to have an opinion, but you're straight-up flaming Maximus for giving you a better release. Nobody forced you to use the new version. Did you pay for the program? No. Was there any warranty? No. Did he fix the problem quickly, and implicitly state that was his overlooking and not GaryOPA's? Yes. He was honest with his mistake, but certainly even he couldn't have seen this as he did in fact test the firmware and it worked just fine. Caster420 and others have used this firmware just fine. Hell, if he wouldn't have released the batch files, you probably wouldn't even know about the "bug." But yeah, he's the bigger man, honing up and making sure you guys are in good hands. Why are you bashing one of the best contributors to the scene instead of praising him? You don't feel "safe" using the program that's your own problem, simply don't use it. I'm sure Maximus could really care less. Write your own damn program if you're so perfect.
Maximus, please remember that these idiots are just a sliver of the scene, and do not represent the dedicated members of the Xbox-Scene. Grateful people that are happy and thankful to have people like you helping us. You've done some great stuff and I can't wait to see what the future brings.

Yap, thanks and appreciate the effort you had done in helping the general and some ungrateful brat that cry foul and not "man" enough to be responsible for their own action. I am sure the majority appreciate what was done ... This post has been edited by langnao: Oct 10 2006, 06:50 AM

QUOTE(tom_mandory @ Oct 9 2006, 09:50 PM) well Mr. Maximus, you are not instilling me with alot of confidence.
Nor me either. QUOTE For new drives you flash it is better to have this revisted bats to avoid possible problems (NONE Reported here). Spelling leaves much to be desired also, extra digits here & there in a release could prove catastrophic. Sorta glad i didnt get this working Slim

I take it I can just use the revised bat version stright off?, I think the download was 4.5mb. Do I need the first release or does it have all the programs utilities as in the first release, but with the revised bats.
How can I simply tell if I have the revised bats,,,,, is their a quick and easy way, only I dont want to flash my drive not having the nrequired files.

The revised bats file is for people who had originally downloaded the 'Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_2_Stealth'. These changes to the batch files had been updated to the original package. Thus if u download the package now, you don't need the revised bats. To know if u have the latest version, just open any of the flash batch file say flash22s.bat. Search for 'errorlevel 0'. If you can find any of those, the batch file belongs to the old version and u need to replace with the revised bats file ...

Some of the people on this site are the most ungrateful S.O.B's imaginable. These programmers are taking their time and effort to further your 'BACKUP' options. You don't have to use the programs. You know damn well that there are inherant risks to using anything of this nature. The man discovered the flaw, admitted to the flaw, and fixed it. What the hell else do your want?!! Do you think Garyopa and the others never make mistakes? It happens. its part of the coding process. You want better, code it yourself, but don't flame and insult a person who is doing you a favor. Without PAY!!! I'd like to take this time to thank all the coders on the scene for their hard work P.S I don't care if I misspelled anything, its a forum not a term paper

thanks I have the errorlevel 1 by the looks of it, I opened up flash22s.bat using rightclick and edit, it opened the program in notepad and all the errorlevels were set at 1. Thanks for helping me out, I'm such a noob, but learning slowly. Another question if I may, I noticed that there is two different versions of the 2.2 flash one designed for backups in mind and the other not, is there any drawbacks to the first one, ie slower loading times, compared to the other one?
