Been able to beat the 0001 and the 0002.

With those it was either Mosfet or Capacitor replacement. Or a combination of the two.

But there is still a 0003 on my bench that I have not been able to beat.

Resistance test on the CPU and GPU chips show them to still be live.

I reballed the Southbridge chip to see what might happen. It did not fix the 0003

So - Suggestions ? Anyone ?

Did you check the power regulator chips?

I thought I did a while back, when I first started work on it. Seemed like the 3.3 and 1.8 were good.

But I could be mistaken. And it has been a while. Maybe I lost them in the in-between.

start by replacing the GPU

by doing the ohms test is not a full confirmation of anything

the ohms only mean part of the gpu is working the rest could be bad

i do not rely on that test

Before you do the difficult replacement of the CPU, you must be sure that all the rest are fine. Re-check the power controller chips.
