Anyone else noticed rapid fire on COD 4 appears to have been capped?
I noticed an xbox live update for cod 4 this morning, since then all my rapid fire controllers (various hex codes) all seem to be firing considerably slower.

Or is it me....?

This is the same thing that happened with the PS3 last week. It's not a network patch like COD5, but rather an entire game "BLOCK". Check it out in single player, offline split screen, and xbox live. You'll notice everything firing slower. Even normal trigger pulls if you use your finger might be a little slower. I sat there for a while just trying to fire as fast I could without even playing and I noticed it's slower than before. So, it's not just an online filter, it seems to be a block in the infrastructure of the game itself.

Highest I could get with my kit on the COD5 undetectable mode was 9.5 and it is still faster than anyone else can shoot with a pistol or G3. I'll try a bunch of different methods to see if I can find something that tricks the lock-up. The thing is, there is no detection filter like any of the COD5 patches, meaning it doesn't get tripped after the first clip. This is a "right from bullet one" limitation scheme.

Yeah... I just noticed it very slow today... this sucks because I just spent 35 dollars on stuff to start doing PIC mods... but the cod5 mode hex works at 150% of the regular mod speed under this patch?

We don't encourage users to cheat in video games. If you wish to use a rapid fire mod do it offline in private.
